Alpinestars Launch 'Rea 2019' Supertech R Race Boot At Misano
Motorcycle clothing manufacturer Alpinestars celebrated it’s long running partnership with Jonathan Rea by launching the ‘Rea 2019’ Supertech R Limited Edition Boot at Misano World Circuit ‘Marco Simoncelli’ in Italy today, ahead of the WorldSBK race weekend.
The partnership between Rea and Alpinestars has endured throughout Jonathan’s racing career, from his first pair of Tech 8 boots, riding in schoolboy motocross, to his current WorldSBK riding gear. The Supertech R is Alpinestars most iconic race boot worn by a roster of the fastest World Champions past and present and will now be available in this limited edition ‘Rea 2019’ colour scheme.
Jonathan Rea stated: “It has always been a dream to have a limited edition Jonathan Rea boot on the market so I am super excited. Working with Alpinestars on this was pretty straight forward, the design team came up with something really super cool that matched the designs I have been using on my leather suits with the lines and keeping the red theme and integrating some green in the boots and on my race gloves as well. What better race to launch them than here at Misano with them being similar colours to the Italian national flag so it super cool for me. It’s a boot I am going to continue using for the rest of the season so I hope all the fans of Alpinestars and fans of mine really like the boot and they can now get themselves a pair.”
